The United Way of Marion County is proud to announce their partnership with the United for U.S. Coalition to help those affected by the federal shutdown in December and January. The United for U.S. Coalition is a joint effort from United Way Worldwide and corporate sponsors, such as Wells Fargo and Bank of America, to assist furloughed employees and contractors affected by the government shutdown. Marion County was awarded $4,300 to help those in need in our community. The funds will be available to any federal employee or contactor who resides in Marion County who experienced hardships in utility payments, childcare, or food assistance.
